Linnéskolan seeks you to help shape tomorrow's school and recreation center in Eksjö. Linnéskolan is the school in the center of town with approximately 320 students from preschool class through grade 6. The school's central location creates good conditions for utilizing the municipality's offerings in culture, sports, and parks. At the school, approximately 50 educators and other key personnel work with the common goal that all students feel good, are safe, and succeed in their schoolwork. The school's work is characterized by a collaborative culture where we gladly share with each other and help one another. The recreation center at Linnéskolan is currently divided into two departments: a larger department with preschool class through grade 2 and a department with students from grade 3 and up. During the year we have developed clubs based on students' interests, including clubs around Minecraft, Pokemon, drama, and other areas of interest that have emerged from the students. At the recreation center, Eksjö Municipality's lead teacher in recreation centers works, which means that a focus on development is a major part of recreation both at Linnéskolan and in the municipality. JOB DUTIES As an elementary teacher with a recreation center focus, your task is to work together with other colleagues to create situations where students succeed, develop, and thrive. You and your colleagues should stimulate students' development and learning where we place great emphasis on creating meaningful leisure time for students at Linnéskolan's recreation center. You are responsible for working with your colleagues both within the department and between departments to plan, teach, document, and follow up on instruction in the recreation center according to our governing documents. During the school day we work to ensure your competencies are properly utilized. This can include everything from conducting recess activities, creating a sense of security in the classroom, to supporting students during lessons and transitions. QUALIFICATIONS We seek you with an elementary teacher degree with a recreation center focus, or alternatively a trained recreation pedagogue with work experience in the field or who has recently graduated. Applicants with other pedagogical qualifications may also be considered. Experience working in recreation centers is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You have good knowledge of the recreation center's national governing documents and are confident in your relationship with students, colleagues, and guardians. You want to take responsibility for and develop the recreation activities at the school. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You proceed from the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in your interactions. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. With your commitment you create motivation and each student is met according to their conditions, and you have good knowledge of people's different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You have clear communication, understand the importance of being a team player, and contribute with a positive spirit. You are flexible, proactive, and have a solution-oriented operational focus with the student's development and best interest in focus.
