Work as a teacher at Nya Skolan Lilla Edet is carried out with close collaboration with the principal, student support team, and other colleagues within the teaching team. We are now looking for you, a certified elementary school teacher for grades 2-3. It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience from the teaching profession. The employment starts at the beginning of the school year in August 2026. Recruitment is ongoing. Our Educators Our educators work in teams where there is shared responsibility for all students within the team. When students are at school, educators are in the activities. In the afternoons, teachers prepare, document, and plan activities together in their team. We see that you are an open person who is calm and confident in yourself, and where collaboration is seen as a matter of course. You are creative, proactive, and self-driven, as well as positively disposed toward the development of the activities and the pedagogical environment. You should have insight into the school's governing documents and the laws that govern school operations, as well as experience with pedagogical documentation. In our teaching, we use ICT tools such as Smartboards and iPads and communicate with parents via the learning platform InfoMentor. Nya Skolan works with age-integrated classes. The grouping is flexible and adapted according to pedagogical needs as well as children's interests and development. Together we create an atmosphere where knowledge is fun and learning an exciting adventure! Holistic Perspective Pedagogically, we work with wholes. We teach children to see connections and to develop conscious and reflective thinking. We work cross-curricular in projects and gladly find new, creative ways to stimulate students' quest for knowledge. It is about harnessing children's natural drive in all cases—their curiosity. Student and teacher jointly set goals for what the student will do each week. The starting point is that the student is involved in their own learning.
