Description Are you a licensed physical therapist who wants to develop new approaches within municipal rehabilitation? Then this position in Älvkarleby Municipality might be for you. We are launching a two-year project focused on a new approach for us. In this role, you will work closely with an occupational therapist in a pair, where together you will manage daily operations and help shape and test new working methods. The project offers an opportunity to influence how rehabilitation is organized and implemented going forward, and there may be an opportunity for extension after the project period ends. In this role, you need to work independently and take your own initiative, while also having good collaboration skills and thriving in a team environment. You are flexible and can adapt interventions based on the individual's needs. The Rehabilitation Unit is part of the Municipality's Health and Care Unit together with the municipality's nurses. The group consists of six licensed occupational therapists/physical therapists supported by a rehabilitation assistant. The team is located in shared facilities with close proximity to both nurses and care staff. The facility is located in the municipality's large care and residential facility with shared spaces such as a café, training kitchen, gym, and a recently opened solarium. Within the service, training groups are conducted for preventive purposes by the Health and Care Unit jointly with an occupational therapist from the assistance unit. Your closest collaboration partners, besides your own unit, will be nurses, care staff, managers, and planning coordinators who regularly collaborate around the individual based on a person-centered approach. In a small municipality like Älvkarleby, we have short distances both to each other and to decisions. The municipality offers wellness allowance or wellness hours. Duties As a licensed physical therapist, you have a central role in promoting health and well-being among our residents. Your work duties will include: Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and follow-up Trialing and prescription of assistive devices Promote physical activity and prevent illness Collaborate with other professional groups for a holistic perspective Participate in education and information dissemination regarding health-promoting and preventive measures You will have an important role in building the new approach together with the team.
