Occupational Therapist at Älvkarleby Municipality Are you a licensed occupational therapist who wants to work in an operation where you have great responsibility, close collaboration with colleagues, and the opportunity to influence the future of rehabilitation? Our rehabilitation unit is facing an exciting development journey with the implementation of the MAR function and a new way of working for us where occupational therapist and physiotherapist work together in pairs. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of developing the operation, contribute new ideas, and create good conditions for person-centered and high-quality rehabilitation. About the Position As an occupational therapist, you have an important role in supporting the individual's functional ability, participation, and independence. You work both directly with patients and in close collaboration with care personnel. You work with a physiotherapist in a pair, where you jointly conduct daily rehabilitation work and help develop and test new working methods. This approach is part of a development project that starts in the fall and provides the opportunity to influence how rehabilitation is organized and implemented going forward. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and taking their own initiatives, while also appreciating collaboration and recognizing the strength of working together with other professions. About the Workplace The rehabilitation unit is part of the Health and Healthcare Unit together with the municipality's nurses. The rehabilitation team consists of six licensed occupational therapists and physiotherapists, plus a rehabilitation assistant. We work in shared facilities with spacious offices, assistive device storage, and reconditioning spaces, with proximity to both nurses and care personnel. The facilities are located in the municipality's largest care and residential facility, which also includes a café, training kitchen, gym, and a recently opened solarium. Within the operation, preventive training groups are also conducted in collaboration with the assistance unit's occupational therapist.
