The Position and Your Tasks As a teacher, you are an important part of helping Botkyrka Municipality become Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities. In your role, you conduct instruction and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up of lessons, as well as grading. You are part of a teaching team and participate in the team's collaborative work. You contribute to a positive learning environment through active work in working groups. Together, you focus on students' knowledge development. You also collaborate with other school staff. You actively participate in the school's value-based work and work inclusively. You make sure to stay updated as a teacher in your subjects through environmental awareness, professional development, and collaborative learning. Mentoring is a central part of your role through social contact regarding students and classes, communication with guardians, absence management and development discussions, and collaboration with authorities and social services. In your role, you collaborate with the student support team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your instruction. As an employee with us, you are an ambassador for the school by participating in open houses, fairs, etc. Skogsbacksskolan is a preschool through grade 9 school with approximately 450 students, including adapted primary school and specialized preschool. As a wood and metal shop teacher, you will teach students in grades 3-9. About You Requirements: Teacher education is a requirement. We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher in wood and metal shop. You have/are: - A clear focus on students and strong confidence in every student's desire to succeed. - A professional approach in interactions with students, colleagues, and guardians. - Good at collaborating and building positive working relationships. - Good organizational ability and can structure your work efficiently. - Able to work well both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. - Flexible and solution-oriented.
