Nikkala School is seeking an engaged and confident wood and metal crafts teacher for grades 4–6. We're looking for someone who wants to contribute to students' development through creative, structured, and enjoyable learning. Your Profile As a crafts teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in wood and metal crafts according to the current curriculum (Lgr22). You create a safe learning environment where safety, creative joy, and learning go hand in hand. The work takes place in close collaboration with the teaching team and other staff at the school. Position: 13% employment concentrated on one day per week. Your Responsibilities Teach students in grades 4–6 in wood and metal crafts Plan and follow up on instruction based on Lgr22 Assess and document students' development in knowledge Work actively with safety, structure, and good working conditions in the crafts room Collaborate with colleagues, student support services, and guardians Qualifications Certified teacher with authorization to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 4–6 Strong didactic ability and subject expertise Ability to build positive relationships with students Structured, responsible, and confident in your leadership role Desirable: Experience teaching in primary school Experience working with students who need extra support What We Offer A safe and welcoming school Collaborative teamwork and close leadership Opportunity to help develop practical-aesthetic instruction Employment according to current agreements Additional Information Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
