ABOUT THE JOB We are now recruiting qualified teachers in mathematics and physical education to the resource school for grades 4-9 in Lycksele. The resource school accommodates 20 students in grades 4-9, where you will work together in a team with teachers and social pedagogues. The positions involve teaching in small groups in standard school subjects; individual instruction may also occur. The goal is for students at the resource school to achieve passing grades in ninth grade. The goal is also to prepare students for upper secondary school and, when possible, participate in regular classroom instruction. The resource school is located at Johan Skytte in its own facilities. You will be part of a team for consultation and planning. The work also includes mentoring a few students and you will have close collaboration with students and guardians. The team meets regularly in team meetings for professional development and student welfare meetings. With us, teachers have the opportunity to meet regularly by subject in sector meetings, and we hold joint workplace meetings every month. The resource school collaborates with the municipality's upper secondary school, Finnbacksskolan, particularly regarding sector work, and also with the school's special instruction group. We work in close collaboration with student welfare services to ensure our students are doing well and feel safe at school. We are looking for you—a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in primary or lower secondary school, particularly in mathematics and physical education. Experience working with students with special needs is a merit. It is an additional advantage if you have knowledge in special education.
