Your New Role We are seeking a teacher for the industrial program at Aleholmsgymnasiet. As a teacher in the industrial program, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing both theoretical and practical instruction. You create a learning environment where students develop their professional skills by combining theory with practical work in a workshop setting. The role includes instructing students in the safe use of machines, tools, and workshop equipment, as well as actively working on workplace environment issues, risk assessments, and safety procedures. You adapt instruction based on students' different prerequisites to give each student the best possible opportunity to succeed. Part of the assignment is to assess, document, and follow up on students' knowledge development in accordance with current curricula and course objectives. You also play a role in building and maintaining contacts with local industrial companies and work-study placement sites. As a teacher, you work closely with other teachers, student support services, and school management to create a comprehensive approach to students' education and development. About You We are looking for someone who has a strong passion for both the industrial sector and youth learning, and who wants to help educate tomorrow's industrial workforce. To function in the role, you need to have broad industrial technical competence and experience with modern manufacturing industry. Knowledge of CNC technology, production technology, blueprint reading, measurement technology, and CAD is important. Competence in operational reliability is a merit. Since instruction also covers operational reliability, the person needs knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and basic mechanics. You should have experience working with production equipment such as CNC-controlled lathes and mills, and be able to handle the entire workflow from blueprint and CAD model to CAM preparation, programming, machine setup, and finished component. Knowledge of cutting operations, tool selection, cutting data, material science, quality assurance, and control measurement is therefore important. It is also a merit if you have vocational teacher training or are currently studying to become a vocational teacher. If you do not yet have teaching certification, we would like to see that you have an interest in and willingness to complete vocational teacher training within a few years. As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to move forward in your own planning and instruction. You see the importance of building good relationships with students to motivate learning. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have good ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developed work environment together with your colleagues. About Our School Aleholmsgymnasiet is part of Höglandsgymnasiet, a collaboration between upper secondary schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda, all of which are part of Höglandsförbundet. Good to Know The position is 50-100% with start at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year or by agreement.
