About the School The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The school is governed by a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality, and we are a modern Waldorf school that is continuously growing and developing with nearly 190 students ranging from preschool through grade 9, including after-school programs. Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic approach to students aimed at developing the whole person—mind, feelings, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with interdisciplinary theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as visual arts, crafts, and music across all school subjects. The Position This is a permanent position at 80-100% that begins with a six-month trial period. Start date is 10/8-26 Job Description We are looking for a teacher for grade 2 who will use Lgr 22 as the clear foundation and Waldorf pedagogy as method and approach. You will be part of a team that works together to help students reach their highest potential. As a class teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating student instruction, individually and together with colleagues, student well-being, and school leadership. You will also foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation. Qualifications State teaching credentials or Waldorf teaching credentials. You have a talent for creating a creative environment for students, where relationship-building is a natural part of daily life You have the ability to awaken curiosity and wonder in your students Knowledge of and/or interest in Waldorf pedagogy and the desire to develop as a teacher and person Several years of experience in the profession is a merit Application If you are ready to take on a challenge and make a positive difference in students' lives, submit your application consisting of a personal letter and your CV to [email protected].
