Teacher at Middle School in Swedish, English, and Social Studies at Kiaby School
Popis:
1 position(s). Welcome to a small school with a big heart! At Kiaby, we enjoy proximity to nature and swimming nearby. Our schoolyard is one of the finest we have seen, and we are proud of our "Skapan," where students can create and build both freely and in planned activities. At Kiaby School, we work to promote different forms of expression and want to further develop students' opportunities for artistic creation. We also actively work for tolerance and respect for the equal value of all, by creating meetings with people who are both alike and different. At Kiaby School, we have approximately 66 students distributed in age-heterogeneous classes from preschool to grade 6. We have two after-school programs with approximately 40 enrolled students and a total of approximately 10 educators who assist with school and after-school activities. New for school year 26/27 is a small, special instruction group where students in need of small-group instruction can receive support from teachers in a special education team, after-school educators, and a special educator. We have close collaboration with Fjälkinge School, where our students take their lessons in physical education, woodworking, home economics, and language electives. Since it can be difficult to arrange work hours with the possibility of using public transportation to and from Kiaby, it is an advantage if you can ensure that you can get to work without depending on local public transportation. If you, like us, value solution-focused approaches, growing in meetings with others, and keeping the student in focus, then we hope you have become interested in working with us and look forward to your application. Your Role with Us As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment built on mutual respect and collaboration, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom. Instruction is designed based on the curriculum's objectives where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations for students and adapt instruction based on all students' levels, with a focus on the student's best interests. Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trustful approach. In your role, you stay current with events in the surrounding world and young people's everyday lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on practical work and together with colleagues you drive development work in the work group/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development. If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an uncertified teacher, you can conduct instruction but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading is held by a certified teacher. Who Are We Looking For? We are primarily looking for you with teacher certification with authorization to conduct instruction in grades 4-6 in Swedish, English, and Social Studies subjects in primary school. Secondarily, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the higher education level in the above subjects. It is a merit if you have pedagogical education at the higher education level. If you have previously worked as a teacher in primary school or have experience conducting instruction, it is a merit. We want you to have the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise, and if you also have strong ability to teach children in need of special support, that is an advantage. You have the ability to adapt instruction based on each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a productive work environment, and enthusiasm for learning. You have engagement, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the surrounding world. A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both inside and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and your work group's work methods for continuous development. Of course, you use digital technology in instruction and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified objectives. As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well-mannered, and live up to the professional ethical principles for teachers, and have an aptitude for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge. For us to make a decision regarding your application, you must attach certificates of education and teacher certification. If no qualified certified teachers are found, you who are uncertified may be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you submit an extract from the police criminal record register so we can employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act. Who Are We? The Department of Children and Education conducts educational activities ranging from preschool to adult education. In a safe, creative, and democratic environment that values all people's equal worth, we work for learning, knowledge, and care. We are looking for you who wants to be part of shaping the future!
