We have consolidated responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment matters affecting our municipality's residents. The department also oversees the Cultural School, food services, and student well-being. Together we focus on continuously improving our operations. Adult Education in Boden is part of the Labor Market and Learning operations, along with the Job Center and Work and Employment. Within Labor Market and Learning, we meet many young people, newly arrived residents of Boden, and people with disabilities, but we are here for everyone who wishes our help in adult education, labor market matters, refugee reception, and other integrating community initiatives. With us, students can, among other things, complete their high school diploma, take qualifying courses, or pursue vocational training. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a certified teacher with certification to teach Swedish as a Second Language or Swedish for grades 7-9, alternatively at upper secondary level. Student groups in adult education are often small, and teaching is always based on and shaped according to students' needs and prior knowledge. Work in adult education requires flexibility but also offers great opportunities to influence your own workday. A large part of communication with our students takes place through a digital learning platform. We assume that you feel comfortable with this and can naturally use digital learning resources in your teaching. The position includes distance teaching, but may also include teaching in a combination program for nursing assistants. We believe you are a person who sees possibilities in each individual student and can help them reach their goals through good dialogue, relevant support, and formative feedback. Since we work with adult individuals, a flexible approach is a prerequisite for success in your assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a certified teacher with certification to teach Swedish as a Second Language or Swedish for grades 7-9, alternatively at upper secondary level. Previous experience teaching adults is a merit. Employment form: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: Fall 2026. Please attach your teacher certification or diploma.
