Prästavångsskolan has approximately 370 students in total. Currently, the school is divided by grade level into two school units, but as of autumn 2026, the school will be merged into one F-6 school. The school also has five after-school care departments; four grade-specific after-school departments for grades F-3 and one shared after-school department for older students in grades 4-6. The school has worked on health promotion for many years through health councils, values-based teams, and student welfare teams. Our movement initiative in collaboration with RF-SISU Skåne permeates a large part of the school's activities and breaks. In recent years, we have also become a Läsa Äger (Reading Owns) school and connected reading with movement through extra reading-promoting initiatives before and during holidays. Reading should be a natural part of both school and after-school care. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language, you are responsible, together with your team, for planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on instruction in grades 5-6 according to applicable guidelines. Teaching is conducted mainly through a two-teacher model, where we base our approach on research and proven teaching models to create accessible and inclusive learning environments. The role may also include targeted intensive interventions for individual students or small student groups. You work in close collaboration with colleagues in your team and student welfare, and actively contribute to the school's development work and shared values. Documentation, formative assessment, and follow-up on student learning are a natural part of the role. Shared mentorship within the grade level may be part of the position. You work solution-focused, values-based, and take responsibility for both teaching and shared development. We are looking for someone who is engaged, responsible, and has a professional approach. You are flexible, solution-focused, and enjoy working in close collaboration with others. You have a strong ability to create safe relationships with students and meet them based on their individual circumstances. You work with a low-affect approach, are attentive in interactions with students, and can maintain calm and clarity even in challenging situations. Furthermore, you are organized, communicative, and demonstrate confident and clear leadership in your teaching. Prästavångsskolan is a Läsa Äger school, where reading and language development are a shared concern for the entire school. A special interest in literature, reading promotion, and students' reading development is therefore important in this position. The school is also health-profiled, where movement and physical activity are a natural part of the school day and permeate both instruction and after-school activities.
