JOB DUTIES This position is focused on strengthening mathematics at the middle school level, with the aim of reinforcing basic knowledge among students who find mathematics challenging, both at the individual and group level. You will have a central role in coordinating, developing, and driving the middle school's work around student mathematics development and thus serve as a mathematics coordinator. The assignment combines teaching with overall pedagogical development responsibility in foundational mathematics. You will have continuous dialogue and check-ins with teaching staff, special teachers, and special education specialists. The job duties will include: • developing instruction in foundational mathematics • supporting students in need of strengthened mathematical understanding and developing their mathematical confidence • developing work methods and strategies • contributing to equitable and sustainable mathematics development at the school. You will be part of a work team where you share experiences, expertise, ideas, and work joy. Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is an important part of the assignment. Together with other teachers in the work team, you take responsibility for developing the activities with the goal of giving each student the best possible conditions for development and learning. The position involves teaching at Lovskolan. The position is a temporary position of 40 hours/week. QUALIFICATIONS We look forward to your application and welcome you if you have the following: • teaching certification • authorization to teach grades 4-6 • substantial experience teaching mathematics in grades 4-6 • strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as language is our primary tool.
