JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Ljungaskolan seeks an engaged teacher for our inter-municipal special education group for students in grades 4-6. The inter-municipal special education group is a smaller teaching environment for students who need comprehensive support to reach their full potential. The group is primarily aimed at students in grades 4-6 with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD), learning difficulties, and other support needs that require an adapted learning environment. The operation offers a safe, structured, and accessible teaching environment with high staff density. The group has at most 5-6 students at a time, which creates good conditions for individualized instruction and close relationships. Job Responsibilities. As a teacher in the special education group, you are responsible for: • Planning, implementing, and following up on instruction primarily in middle school subjects. • Adapting instruction and learning environment based on students' individual needs. • Being a mentor for the student group. • Documenting students' development, interventions, and adaptations. • Close collaboration with guardians, student health services, and students' home schools. • Contributing to creating a safe, predictable, and developmental learning environment. • Collaborating with student assistants when such support is linked to the student. • You will work in close collaboration with the school's special educator and other professionals around the students. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Hold teacher certification. • Have experience with teaching and strong commitment to student learning and development. • Have good ability to adapt instruction based on different students' needs. It is an advantage if you: • Have a special education degree or other special pedagogical competence. • Have experience working with students with NPD. • Have knowledge of and experience with low-arousal approaches. • Have experience creating accessible and adapted learning environments.
