JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like a varied and meaningful role where you get to work both in the leisure center and as a physical education teacher? We are looking for someone who wants a varied role where you get to work both in the leisure center and as a physical education teacher in grades 2 and 3, and who wants to contribute to an active and meaningful school day for students. The position is divided (50/50) between the leisure center and physical education and health instruction. In the leisure center, you participate in planning, implementing, and developing activities based on the curriculum and students' needs. You contribute to a meaningful leisure time where students' creativity, security, and social development are at the center. The assignment also includes planning and implementing break activities with colleagues that promote movement and community. As a physical education teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in physical education and health. You create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop joy in movement, collaboration skills, and a healthy lifestyle, both indoors and in our beautiful outdoor environments. You are part of a team where collaboration, development, and the student's well-being are always in focus. Together, you work to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment for all students. In your role, you are expected to be involved in systematic quality work and contribute to developing both the leisure center's activities and physical education and health instruction. As an employee in Hammarö municipality, you receive support in your assignment through our leisure center developer and have opportunities for professional development and collegial learning. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a pedagogical degree with a focus on leisure activities and certification to teach physical education and health. We expect that you are firmly grounded in the school's values and can implement the curriculum with high quality. You are a confident and clear leader who builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have an inclusive approach and the ability to adapt instruction and activities based on students' different needs and circumstances. You have a genuine commitment to students' development and learning, both academically and socially, and you contribute to creating an environment where students feel participation, motivation, and joy in movement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Your work should be characterized by curiosity, warmth, and conscious choices. We want you to describe in your application and at a possible interview your abilities in working with students, in leadership, and in collaboration with others. From experience, we know that the ability to analyze and reflect on your own efforts and the activities' content is also very important for quality. Therefore, it is important that you can reflect on the activities' content and your implementation. We expect that you have good collaboration skills, willingness, and ability to participate in the leisure center's and school's systematic quality work. At Bärstadsskolan, we are a practice school, and we expect that you undergo mentor training at Karlstad University (KAU) if you have not already done so. Experience working in a leisure center, school, or teaching physical education and health is advantageous.
