One of our teachers in the after-school care program will be on parental leave during the school year 26/27, and we are therefore seeking a qualified teacher with a focus on after-school care work for a parental leave position. WORK DUTIES In your role as a teacher in the after-school care program at Brogårdaskolan, your primary task will be work in the after-school care program. Before the after-school care activities begin, you will be in the pre-school class together with the teaching teacher in the f-class. By planning, implementing, and following up on your instruction, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through, for example, play, creative activities, and movement. Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the after-school care activities based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and prerequisites. You meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence. It is important that you create a good relationship with students, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect and a trustful approach as well as positive and high expectations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is certified, or will be certified after completing teacher education in June 2026, as a teacher with a focus on after-school care work. It is advantageous if you have experience working in after-school care. You are expected to be well versed in the school's and after-school care program's governing documents and mission. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the activities in various ways. You have good structure in your work and can adapt instruction based on the students' needs and the school's goals. Your view of students is characterized by respect and a belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations for students and work actively so they thrive at school and in the after-school care program. As a person, you are very engaged, responsible, and attentive. In your leadership, you are confident and clear. The work requires flexibility as well as good ability to plan and prioritize among your tasks. You need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to quickly handle unforeseen situations that may arise in daily operations. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-13 Start 13/8 or by agreement. End date: 2027-06-08. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
