Many of our teachers have worked at the school for a long time and students often attend with us from preschool through grade 9. School website: http://bredangsskolan.stockholm.se Your Role We are looking for someone who is certified and licensed in English and Swedish/Swedish as Second Language for upper secondary grades. The position includes teaching Swedish/Swedish as Second Language, English and Swedish/English for grades 7-9. You will be part of the upper secondary grade team and serve as a mentor for an upper secondary class. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, instruction, documentation, assessment and evaluation of the classes you teach. Interviews may be conducted continuously throughout the application period. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for someone who has high expectations for student achievement, good pedagogical insight, and is clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You: are a licensed teacher with certification in Swedish, Swedish as Second Language and English for grades 7-9. have at least 6 years of documented experience in the teaching profession/instruction in primary school grades 4-9. have experience with digital working methods as a reinforcement in instruction. You have strong ability to design instruction in accordance with curricula, subject plans and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into student results and needs, and structure and adapt your instruction so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve students in the planning and develop their ability to learn, both independently and together with others. You are confident, stable, have self-awareness and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and develop good relationships with students, parents and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks that are part of your role in an efficient manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
