The Preschool and Primary Education Department is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future. Ankarskolan and Spannarps School share a common catchment area in the southwestern part of Varberg Municipality. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As a teacher in the after-school program with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment for students where we create the best possible opportunity for learning. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of instruction is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied instruction, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creative activities, and movement. You will work as a substitute pool in grades F-9 either as a substitute class teacher or as a substitute in the after-school program, primarily at Ankarskolan but you may also need to work at Spannarps School. You may have instruction for students in grades F-9 in both theoretical and practical subjects as well as in the after-school program. You may have responsibility for planning activities both individually and together with others. Examples of work tasks: - Shape instruction that is based on scientific evidence and proven experience. - Take responsibility for clear leadership that promotes students' learning, participation, and influence. - Plan and follow up on instruction in the after-school program based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to students' needs. - Meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments. - Collaborate with colleagues to create continuity in students' learning throughout the school day. - Take responsibility for being a good role model and contribute to an organization for planning and evaluating instruction. QUALIFICATIONS As a teacher at the schools, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating instruction. Your instruction is based on proven experience and scientific evidence with an exploratory approach. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operation by planning and following up on instruction together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt instruction based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together we have the responsibility to create a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in this role, you have: - Teacher certification with authorization to teach in the after-school program. - A holistic perspective on learning and instruction where you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day. - Good assessment skills to be able to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback. - Clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas in an organized manner. - Good didactic skills to translate the curriculum's purpose into practical activities. - Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months. The position involves varying working hours according to need and may involve working five days a week. Our operations are open Monday to Friday between 6:15 and 18:30. Your employment form may be Appendix D, with a response time of 45 minutes. Interviews may take place during the recruitment period.
