Description Arbrå School is now recruiting a certified K-3 teacher for a permanent full-time position. You will serve as a mentor in Grade 2 with support from a classroom resource staff member. As a teacher with us, starting in the fall there will also be an opportunity to apply for a specialist teacher role in Swedish. As a specialist teacher in Swedish, you will work together with school leadership on the school's systematic quality improvement efforts and will lead subject conferences for your colleagues to develop Swedish instruction across the entire K-9 school. Arbrå School is a K-9 school with approximately 300 students in two buildings – the Yellow House, which houses K-1 and the after-school program, and the White House, which houses Grades 2-9. Arbrå School is a learning organization with a positive work environment and competent teaching teams focused on instruction. With us, you will simply find the best that Hälsingland's fantastic nature has to offer – right around the corner. Job Responsibilities As an elementary school teacher, you will teach in Grades K–3. You are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing instruction in accordance with the curriculum and applicable regulations. You work to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where each student is given the conditions to develop according to their individual needs and circumstances. Through collaboration with other staff at the school, you contribute to the school's development and work for a positive environment for both students and colleagues. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified elementary school teacher with certification to teach Grades K–3. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, the ability to build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and being a safe and positive role model. Since you will be part of a teaching team, we see that you are someone with strong collaboration skills, great responsibility, and a commitment to student learning and development. You also have the ability to adapt instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances. Previous experience working with positive behavior support (PBS) is a merit.
