Description Arbrå School is seeking a certified F-3 teacher for a permanent position. During the upcoming school year, you will strengthen instruction in mathematics and Swedish in grades 1 and 2. The school has one grade 1 class and two grade 2 classes. Arbrå School is an F-9 school with approximately 300 students in two buildings – the Yellow House, which houses grades F-1 and the after-school program, and the White House, which houses grades 2-9. Arbrå School is a learning organization with a positive work environment and competent teaching teams with instruction as the focus. Responsibilities As an elementary school teacher, you will teach grades F–3 with primary instruction in Swedish and mathematics. You are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing instruction in accordance with the curriculum and applicable governing documents. You work to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where each student is given the opportunity to develop according to their individual needs and circumstances. Through collaboration with other staff at the school, you contribute to the school's development and work toward a positive environment for both students and colleagues. Qualifications We are seeking a certified elementary school teacher with the qualifications to teach grades F–3, with credentials in Swedish and mathematics. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and to be a safe and positive role model. Since you will be part of a teaching team, we see that you are a person with good collaboration skills, strong sense of responsibility, and commitment to student learning and development. You also have the ability to adapt instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with positive behavioral support (PBS).
