WORK DUTIES You will teach grades 7-9 in one or more of the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. A teaching position at our school includes working in team collaborations with joint planning and shared assessment, and actively participating in the school's development work. The school's values are – Safety, Responsibility, Respect, and Empathy. These values should form the foundation for everything we do and plan. The staff at the school have the responsibility to create conditions and clarify what expectations exist for students and their behavior, and what expectations students can have of us adults on staff. To achieve this, we have chosen to work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavior Support in Schools). Another important part of the work is our Language and Knowledge Development approach – SKUA. The goal is to establish methods and working approaches that should be used in all of the school's subjects to give students better knowledge and higher academic results. The school has developed various support structures and works to provide students with the support they need to succeed. In this work, we have created a foundation of general accommodations for students to benefit from, whether it is a necessity for success or if it simply makes things easier for the student. Clarity is one of the areas we have emphasized, and therefore one of the tools we use is a model for how planning, lessons, and evaluation/assessment should be a framework for how students can be expected to experience when they come to lessons. QUALIFICATIONS Completed a qualifying teacher education program. Authorization to teach and assess the subjects Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics in grades 7-9. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and notice and acknowledge others' contributions. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and roles. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You encourage and support change initiatives. You find it easy to adapt your behavior to meet other people's needs. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. Work hours: Daytime.
