Örkenedskolan is looking for a committed teaching assistant who wants to contribute to our young people having the best possible conditions to succeed in their studies and personal development. As a teaching assistant, you will be an important part of the school's daily operations. You work closely with students and staff to create structure, support, and security in teaching and in the school's common areas. As a teaching assistant in Osby Municipality, you work in the school to support both teachers and students. The role can look slightly different depending on the school's needs, but typically: • You provide support to students by helping them understand instructions, get started, assist with concentration difficulties, or provide language support. • Support can take place in the classroom, individually, in groups, and during breaks or meals. • You relieve/support the teacher by preparing materials, preparing the classroom, sorting, and organizing. Simple documentation can also be part of the job. • You assist with practical tasks in the classroom, group work, or other activities, and help maintain order and structure so the teacher can focus more on teaching. • You work to create security by being a trusted adult who creates calm and safety in the classroom, supports students in social situations, for example during breaks and in conflicts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with training as a teaching assistant or other competence that can be assessed as equivalent. You have experience working with conflict management and older students in primary school and approach students with a professional and solution-oriented approach.
