Here you'll have a job where presence, care, and personal connection mean everything. The woman lives with significant mobility limitations, epilepsy, and does not communicate verbally. This means you need to be attentive, receptive, and curious about other ways of communicating. Over time, you'll learn her expressions, habits, and needs – and that's where the real difference is made. This is a job for someone who appreciates a slower pace and understands the value of being present, in both big and small ways. Some days involve activities and daily tasks, others involve creating safety, structure, and a good day based on her circumstances. You don't need to know everything from the start. There are assistive devices, clear routines, and a well-planned introduction. In some work shifts, you'll work together with a colleague in double assistance. We believe you are a person who: Is secure, warm, and responsible. Has patience and the ability to see the person behind the disability. Enjoys working closely with another person and building a long-term relationship. Is attentive to detail and likes creating structure and safety. Has a driver's license and access to a car, since the workplace is in a rural location. Work hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Shifts vary in length with both short and long shifts, typically between 08:00 and 20:00. The position starts as hourly employment and transitions, if you're compatible, to a fixed-term employment at approximately 75 percent for as long as the assistance assignment lasts.
