Your Role with Us Are you a qualified investigator interested in civil protection matters? Boverket is growing after becoming a civil protection authority and is currently seeking an investigator to strengthen our civil protection work. We offer varied tasks working together with different teams consisting of lawyers, engineers, experts, and investigators. In the teams, you are expected to contribute based on your competence and experiences to jointly find solutions to complex issues and create shared deliverables. As an investigator, in the coming years you will primarily drive and contribute to the development of risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA) and risk and vulnerability assessments, where you map threats and identify measures to strengthen civil protection preparedness. This is a process under development, which gives you great opportunities for influence and impact on how we create well-functioning processes and methods. An important part of the work is also ongoing environmental monitoring, where you contribute by analyzing information and compiling situation reports in collaboration with both internal and external parties. In addition, you may participate in various investigations of both internal and external critical societal activities to contribute to the development of the civil protection sector for Industry, Construction, and Trade. Depending on your previous experience, work in various projects may be relevant. Your unit is currently working on several projects within regulatory preparedness in the construction and civil engineering sector as well as supply preparedness in construction and civil engineering. You will work closely with the agency's security protection function and civil protection coordinator. It may be relevant for you to participate in the development or revisions of various civil protection plans, continuity plans, or exercise activities. Your Competency Profile We are looking for you with current and relevant experience in civil protection work and/or relevant qualified work in critical societal activities. Preferably, you have worked as a risk analyst, specialist in RSA, civil protection handler, or investigator in government/municipal activities, or alternatively as a consultant in the private sector with corresponding matters. You have previous experience with risk and vulnerability analyses and are skilled at evaluating and developing complex issues. We particularly value that you have experience in several of the following areas: collaboration with actors at national and regional levels, environmental monitoring, obtaining, compiling, and providing situation reports, supply analyses, development of civil protection plans, continuity plans, or similar, working with investigations and investigation methodology, exercise activities. Fundamentally, you have relevant academic education in, for example, crisis management or risk and vulnerability analysis, political science, law, social science, or other education combined with relevant experience that can be assessed as equivalent. To thrive in the role as an investigator in civil protection at Boverket, you need to be able to work goal-oriented and structured, have good ability to work in development projects with moving targets, be analytical, have good self-leadership, good collaboration ability. Some work tasks occur in teams and other parts are done independently. This requires that you have your own drive and good initiative to help the team reach its goals. Since you will be working with civil protection matters, it is also of great importance that you are meticulous and security-conscious. The work tasks include both advisory and authority exercise, which requires objectivity, professionalism, and a high degree of service. You also need to communicate clearly and pedagogically in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. We attach great importance to these personal skills. The Employment This position is placed in a security classification and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment. A security vetting will be conducted in accordance with applicable security protection legislation prior to the employment decision. The position is a permanent employment at the head office in Karlskrona with commencement according to agreement.
