The Education Department is responsible for all activities in the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school programs, high school, and adult education. At Arlanda Gymnasium, approximately 1,300 students study. We offer 11 high school programs, both college preparatory and vocational programs. The school has one of the few aviation technology programs in Sweden, as well as national and local sports programs in handball, football, floorball, ice hockey, and e-sports. Arlanda Gymnasium also offers introduction programs adapted for students who lack the qualifications to enroll in a national program, as well as adapted high school, which is a four-year voluntary program for young people with intellectual disabilities. Our annual evaluations show that students and staff are very satisfied at our school. Skilled teachers and the school's bright and airy facilities are contributing factors. And not least, the positive climate among students. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a counselor, you'll be part of the school's student welfare team. The student welfare team actively works in various forums to promote, prevent, and support students' development and the school as an organization. This means that student welfare always aims to create the best possible learning situation for each student within the team's combined expertise. You'll also have the counselors from the other two school units as close colleagues in the same workplace. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with a degree in social work (socionom). It's a merit if you have experience working as a school counselor and knowledge of the Prorenata record system and working methods such as student welfare meetings (EHM) and Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP). You're an organized person who works according to clear processes, organizes and plans your work well, completes what you start, and meets deadlines. You're stable and secure, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good attitude even under pressure and setbacks. You stand firm in uncertain situations, dare to speak up, and have the ability to separate issues from personalities. We value that you're relationship-building and take initiative in social settings, find it easy to make new contacts, and collaborate unpretentiously with a focus on common goals.
