Are you a nurse/urotherapist with an interest in urological care and urotherapy? As a nurse at our clinic, you will be offered varied, independent, and stimulating work with good opportunities for development in the field. At the surgeon/urology clinic, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work together. Work at the clinic is conducted in teams around different diagnoses to provide patients with the best possible care. As a nurse, you will run your own nursing clinic, which includes more advanced catheter changes, CIC training (Clean Intermittent Catheterization), various bladder treatments, and patients with erectile dysfunction issues. You will also have your own LUTS clinic, where patients come to map and investigate their urinary issues, bladder installations, etc. You provide telephone advice to patients and also give guidance to healthcare personnel. A large part of the work at the urology clinic is to serve as a contact nurse and/or urotherapist (depending on education level) for patients with various urological cancer diagnoses, etc. Contact nurses provide support to patients during investigation and treatment of cancer diagnoses and later in the prostate cancer outpatient clinic. If you have urotherapy training, you will also serve as a consultant across the hospital. We also help our patients with fitting and prescribing incontinence products, which applies to both urine and fecal leakage. About You We are seeking a licensed nurse for this position. The work is independent and broad professional experience is needed for this task. Experience from urology, prescribing rights, and the course in urological care (15 hp) are merits. You should also have an interest in urotherapy and be willing to pursue education as a urotherapist. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
