Description We are now looking for a municipal finance controller who wants to take a key role in developing the municipal group's financial management and accounting. We are looking for someone who combines analytical sharpness with drive and who thrives in a role where you work both strategically and operationally in a complex and socially important operation. You will become part of the Finance and Administration Department within the Municipal Executive Administration. The department has a central and important role in municipal governance and supports operations in areas including finance, accounting, quality, committee secretariat, archives, and procurement. You will be part of an engaged and competent team of 17 employees led by the Finance and Administration Manager. We want to be a workplace where you both develop and thrive. Responsibilities As a municipal finance controller, you have a central role in coordinating, developing, and monitoring the municipal group's finances. You work independently but in close collaboration with colleagues, managers, and company representatives, providing qualified support in matters relating to accounting, analysis, and financial management. The assignment includes special responsibility for the parent company Lysekils Stadshus AB and its subsidiaries, as well as for consolidation and monitoring of the entire municipal group. The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with representatives of both the municipality and the group companies. Your responsibilities will also consist of: Responsible for financial statements and annual reports of the group's annual reporting for the parent company group Responsible for tax and VAT matters Prepare documentation for qualified financial analyses and decision-making materials Bank contact and responsible for managing loans for the municipal group Prepare documentation for financial reporting and internal monitoring In the position, you will have system responsibility for the municipality's accounting system Raindance and overall responsibility as the municipality's specialist in accounting matters. Responsible for bookkeeping, financial statements, and annual reports for the municipality's foundations You will also participate in a network with municipalities in northern Bohuslän, where there are good opportunities for experience exchange, environmental monitoring, and joint development within the finance area. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent, as well as experience in qualified accounting work. It is advantageous if you have experience with group accounting, financial management in politically governed organizations, or work in municipal operations. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and confident in your competence. You have good collaboration skills, can build trusting relationships, and thrive in a role where you both drive matters forward and provide support to others. You express yourself well orally and in writing and have the ability to translate complex information into clear documentation. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
