The Customer Center is the municipality's combined service function and the natural entry point for residents, businesses, and visitors. Through broad expertise, high availability, and close collaboration with the business development unit and other departments, we strive to resolve as many inquiries as possible at first contact. When specialist expertise is required, we take responsibility for safe, efficient, and cohesive guidance through the municipality. This way, we contribute to both easier contact with the municipality and a stronger business climate. The Municipal Administration serves three boards: the Municipal Executive Board, the Building and Environment Board, and the Community Development Board. The administration employs approximately 135 employees and is divided into three areas: staff, building and environment, and community development and growth, where business development and the customer center are located. A day as a municipal guide at the customer center As a municipal guide, you're part of the municipality's first point of contact with residents, businesses, and visitors. No two days are the same. One moment you're helping an entrepreneur with a business establishment question, the next you're guiding a resident to the right department or answering questions by phone, email, or in person. The majority of the work consists of providing professional service, handling incoming calls through the municipality's phone system, directing callers to the right function, and ensuring that those contacting the municipality receive help in a simple, fast, and correct manner. The Customer Center works closely with the municipality's other departments and has a broad network of contacts throughout the organization. We collaborate daily with, among others, the building and environment department, the social services administration, the children's and education administration, technical services, the office, and other support functions. Moreover, we're in an exciting development phase where the customer center, together with business development, is developing tomorrow's municipal service. This means we're gradually strengthening our mission in business services, new resident services, and business establishment matters. As a temporary employee, you'll be an important part of this service function and help the municipality maintain high availability even when regular staff are not on duty. Your expertise We're looking for someone who has: experience working with a phone system, preferably TRIO or equivalent experience in service, reception, or customer center work good knowledge of municipal operations, organization, and working methods good digital skills and ease working in various operational systems good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing a professional demeanor and genuine interest in service. It's an advantage if you have: worked as a municipal guide or switchboard operator experience with case management systems experience working in multiple digital systems simultaneously knowledge of municipal administration and public authority operations. You are reliable, organized, and good at prioritizing when the pace is high. You enjoy helping people, take responsibility for your tasks, and enjoy collaborating with others. Other information The position is an hourly temporary appointment as needed. Work is primarily performed during daytime hours on weekdays and may occasionally be offered with short notice.
