JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Ljungby municipality offers the right person an opportunity to further develop operations together with engaged and competent employees. The assignment involves, together with residents, businesses, organizations, and civil society, contributing to shaping the municipality's future. As Municipal Director, you are responsible for leading and developing operations in line with the municipality's vision 2035, on behalf of the political leadership. Together with the organization's managers and employees, you create good conditions for development and results, and lead work where openness, transparency, and shared responsibility are in focus. The assignment includes ensuring a group-wide approach where the entire organization with its departments and companies collaborate to meet residents' needs and contribute to strengthening Ljungby municipality's appeal as a place to live, work, and operate in. As Municipal Director, you are also the head of the Municipal Administration and responsible for developing its role as clear support and a coordinating function for the entire organization. The Municipal Director is also CEO of Ljungby Holding AB. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant academic education from a college or university and experience leading complex organizations in the public sector at a senior management level. You have experience leading other managers and are accustomed to working closely with political leadership, which gives you a good understanding of the interaction between politics and the public administration. You have good knowledge of the Municipal Act and other relevant laws and regulations in the public sector and municipal companies. You also have basic knowledge of public finance and good knowledge of the Swedish language. As a leader, you are confident, clear, and stable. You combine a trust-based approach with the ability to create structure and follow up operations against set goals. You have good communication skills and create alignment, trust, and engagement in the organization through your leadership. You are relationship-oriented, decisive, and have the ability to handle complex issues with a clear holistic perspective. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
