Head Chef at Almåsa Havshotell Almåsa Havshotell is a modern meeting place in Stockholm's southern archipelago where we offer inspiring conferences, unique dining experiences, and relaxing weekends. We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated head chef who wants to lead and further develop our kitchen. With us, you will have a key role in an operation that encompasses hotel, conference, à la carte, and events. We are looking for someone with broad professional expertise, extensive experience, and a genuine commitment to quality, leadership, and guest experience. Here you will work in a nature-close and inspiring environment together with dedicated colleagues, where you have great scope to influence and develop both the kitchen and the dining experience. We actively work with sustainability and are environmentally certified. Our owner, Iris Förvaltning AB via Synskadades Stiftelse, works to improve the conditions for people with visual impairments in society. As head chef, you are responsible for, among other things: - Having overall responsibility for the kitchen and dishwashing - Planning, staffing, and scheduling based on operational needs - Recruiting, training, and motivating staff within the department - Leading daily operations and ensuring smooth routines - Being involved in operations and working operationally in the kitchen - Responsibility for quality work and sustainability work, including according to Green Key standards - Managing the department's budget, food costs, and results - Developing and updating menus and concepts We are looking for someone who: Has solid experience from leading roles in kitchens and is confident in both your leadership and professional expertise. You have experience from hotel operations and feel at home in environments where à la carte, conferences, celebrations, and events take place. You are organized, flexible, and solution-oriented, with the ability to create engagement in the team while maintaining high quality in delivery. Qualifications Relevant education and several years of work experience in restaurants and hotels. Previous experience in team leadership is a requirement. You have a good understanding of kitchen economics, planning, personnel management, and quality work. Good knowledge of Swedish is important, and English is an asset. Salary by agreement and collective agreement applies. We offer a generous wellness allowance and the opportunity to train and swim in the facility's gym and pool. Varying working hours and we are open every day of the week. The position is permanent and full-time with a probationary period of six months. Application deadline July 5, 2026. Selection is made on an ongoing basis. The position will be filled before the employment period ends.
