Meals is an operation within the service sector in Ulricehamns Municipality. The mission is to serve meals to all preschool and school students as well as to individuals approved for assistance in special residential facilities, group homes, or their own homes. Currently, there are 34 kitchens that are part of the food operations. We are now looking for a chef to work in two kitchens, at Pastellens Preschool in Blidsberg and Parkgården Care and Housing Facility in Dalum. Does this sound interesting? JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The position encompasses all tasks that occur in a large kitchen, including ordering, cooking, serving, dishwashing, and quality control. The position at Pastellens Preschool is a combined role as chef/facility maintenance. Work is scheduled Monday-Friday, but weekend shifts may occur. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with chef training or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience from large kitchens or restaurant operations is highly desirable. You have a genuine interest in food and cooking and work with commitment, responsibility, and drive. As a person, you are organized, flexible, and open to development and change. You take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to remain calm even during periods of high pace, and can adapt to the operation's needs. You work independently while having good teamwork skills and professional communication. At Ulricehamns Municipality, multilingualism is seen as a strength, but it is important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing. Good computer skills are also important. To work with us, a valid criminal record certificate from the police is required, which you can order from the police website. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 10, 2026 or by agreement. Reference checks will begin after the first phone interview.
