Chef at newly opened Margretes Badhotell, Strandbaden About the Employer In July, we are opening the doors to Margretes Badhotell – a prestigious beach hotel from the late 1800s, beautifully located by the sea in Strandbaden on the Kullahalvön peninsula. We are breathing new life into a classic setting and creating a seaside restaurant where guests experience excellent food, personal service, and a warm atmosphere – equally perfect for a relaxing weekday or special occasions. We prepare food from scratch with careful attention to ingredients, quality, and care, and will serve everything from breakfast and à la carte to meal packages and arrangements for our hotel guests and visitors. Margretes Badhotell is part of Blue Tuna Group, a growing restaurant group in northwest Scania. We are now building our team ahead of the opening, and you have the chance to be part of it from the start – in a small, close-knit team in one of Scania's finest seaside environments. About the Position As a chef with us, you are a key person in the kitchen and contribute to ensuring every guest has an exceptional dining experience. Since we are opening new, you get to be involved from the beginning, help establish routines, and grow with the business. You prepare food from scratch – from breakfast and lunch to à la carte and special occasions. The position suits you if you thrive in a varied pace, enjoy cooking with quality, and want to be part of an engaged team during startup. The role includes, among other things: Help launch the kitchen ahead of opening Prepare and cook dishes from scratch with high and consistent quality Manage your station during service, both in daily operations and at larger events Contribute to receiving and handling ingredients as well as minimizing waste Follow procedures for hygiene and self-inspection (HACCP) Contribute to a positive atmosphere and good teamwork in the kitchen We are Looking for Someone Who Has training as a chef and/or experience from restaurant kitchens Cooks from scratch with a genuine interest in ingredients and quality Finds it inspiring to be part of building something new Is accustomed to varied pace and maintains structure and quality even during busy periods Is thorough, responsible, and an unpretentious team player Speaks Swedish and/or English fluently Merits Experience from restaurant startup or opening Experience from hotel and restaurant operations with breakfast, à la carte, and events Familiarity with seasonal operations We Offer A unique opportunity to be part of the opening of a prestigious beach hotel in a new form – with a seaside location, great variety, and strong camaraderie in a small team.
