Welcome to us Do you want to ensure that our elderly in Haparanda receive good and nutritious meals? Do you want to work daytime? We are now seeking two experienced cooks for Klippans Kitchen, which prepares meals for all our care and housing facilities within the municipality. Our cooks prepare over 300 portions daily, largely traditional home cooking with a focus on nutritious and sustainable meals. Klippans Kitchen delivers hot meals every day of the year, which means work is also performed on weekends. Your Profile We are looking for you who are an experienced cook and can prepare good food, primarily traditional home cooking, for our elderly. For those who need it, we prepare special diets. Your Responsibilities As a cook, you are responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, which includes planning, preparation, and serving of good and nutritious meals according to our guidelines. Your responsibilities also include self-inspection, ordering, dishwashing, cleaning, and monitoring and development of operations. You work to create a pleasant workplace and collaborate with other staff to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. You may also receive interns and apprentices as needed. Computer skills are a requirement as ordering, self-inspection, and statistics are handled digitally. We work, among other things, in the Mashie food data system. Qualifications • 3-year upper secondary education as a cook or other education that the employer considers equivalent • basic knowledge of food hygiene. It is an advantage if you have: • experience working in large kitchens focused on elderly care. Training and/or experience in preparing allergy and consistency-adapted meals You have good ability to communicate in Swedish, ability to work independently and in teams, are responsible, structured, and have good collaboration skills.
