In the fall of 2022, JENSEN elementary school opened a brand new school building in Tungelsta, Haninge municipality. The school is located in a beautiful rural setting with a small-town feel. In our school kitchen, we prepare approximately 1,200 portions daily, with about 700 served on-site and 500 delivered to other JENSEN schools. We are now seeking a kitchen assistant who wants to become part of our wonderful team. About the Position Our meals are prepared in our cooking kitchen by a chef and are high-quality, nutritious, and varied. We have a sustainability mindset and actively work to make the best use of our ingredients. Beyond this, you share our commitment to valuing children's health and well-being, including actively working to reduce the amount of refined sugar they consume. As part of our kitchen staff, you will have overall responsibility for, among other things, kitchen hygiene and the quality of meals served at the school. Your main tasks will consist of ensuring the dishes are washed, serving meals, and clearing up before and after meals. The work will also occasionally include delivering food to our other school units. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is positive and service-minded. We also value punctuality and reliable attendance. You are responsible and have strong collaboration skills with both children and adults. It is essential that you are engaged and flexible in your work, with a positive and solution-oriented approach, as the job may involve rapid changes. A driver's license (B-category) is a merit, as deliveries may be needed. Employment Terms The position is a permanent employment at 43.3% (working 4 hours per day to have school holidays off) starting in August. A 6-month probationary period applies to this position.
