All digital devices are managed in rolling life cycles, we have good data management, systems with API integration that communicate seamlessly with each other. Powerful networks with access points and infrastructure at the Enterprise level, centrally managed. Operations are continuously updated with modern equipment and there is a drive among employees to develop their digital work methods. Operations continuously explore remote work and its possibilities. Our core environment and system architecture rests on Microsoft's concept and the client environment is built exclusively on Windows-based personal computers. We have approximately 3,000 users in different categories and in our VMware environment 150 support systems are managed. In the infrastructure we manage there are approximately 450 active switches/routers. Who are you? You are someone who loves connecting people – just as much as you love connecting switches, access points and computers. You enjoy problem-solving, otherwise this job posting probably wouldn't have caught your attention. You work well both in teams and independently. You are a person who experiences daily joy when an access point with red status suddenly blinks green or when you set up a new server in our virtualization for an operational unit. You can keep your head cool when seven stressed users are calling for help. You need a B-class driving license, among other things to visit our facilities and customers in the mountain valleys. We therefore assume that you are comfortable driving in winter conditions – and we suspect you had an excellent time when you drove on the ice rink. We place great importance on your communication skills. You are both theoretically driven and practically oriented. Being attentive, understanding and meeting others' needs is absolutely crucial for success in this role. You are unpretentious – results and customer satisfaction are more important than your own effort. You also have no problem undergoing a security clearance, as you will often be in classified facilities and operations. What will you do? You will make a concrete difference in users' digital everyday life. As our lifesaving IT superhero, you are part of the Municipal Executive Board's IT unit. You work preventatively, on an event basis and on behalf of operational contact persons, with various support systems through our case management systems, always in line with the municipality's IT strategy and security instructions. You will have access to approximately 3,000 digital devices, mobile phones, switches/routers, access points and probably a forgotten laptop or two from the 90s and share responsibility with colleagues for ensuring everything lives, thrives and has a healthy life cycle. You will sometimes evaluate new technology and smart new work methods based on AI. Every new service that comes to your attention should either be eliminated or integrated into our environments based on our guidelines. Shadow-IT is, as is well known, something many organizations struggle with, but our approach is that it is through curious exploration that we break new ground, and when you do that you sometimes need someone to hold your hand – and that's you. You ensure with management and system administrators that curious exploration that proves successful transitions into long-term documented management with maximum availability for users. It is very likely that you will be part of our on-call team and outside office hours monitor that critical systems are running as they should and that customers get the support they need. Your office is located together with other IT technicians in the municipal building (from where you get daily exercise in the form of continuous troubleshooting) and in the service bus, which you will have a special and close relationship with. In five minutes you can in the town centers of Vilhelmina, Saxnäs and Dikanäs, where we have municipal operations, pick up children from preschool, go to work, exercise after work or take your skis/running shoes on the lit trails, and eat at one of the local cafes and restaurants. In the mountains there are facilities that are open during tourist seasons and year-round, and also close to some of the larger ski slopes in Kittelfjäll and Klimpfjäll.
