For the Care for Persons with Disabilities (OF) department, we are seeking a care assistant positioned at Ingenjörsvägen 59, which is a group home for adults under the 9§9 LSS act. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a care assistant, your mission is to provide services to people with disabilities. Your main duties involve meeting our clients' needs for care, health services, and support. You work based on each individual's circumstances, needs, and interests as outlined in their implementation plan. In your role, you participate in all relevant tasks. This could include motivating clients to participate in activities such as bowling or a bus trip that you accompany them on, managing challenging behaviors, and communicating through alternative communication methods. Documentation is a recurring aspect of the work. The role sometimes includes working alone. As one of us, you naturally participate in our quality assurance, operational, and competence development initiatives. Your placement is at Ingenjörsvägen 59, but you may work shifts in other OF operations within Oskarshamn Municipality. The position includes on-call overnight duty. QUALIFICATIONS You hold a nursing assistant certificate or other qualification that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in the field of disabilities/psychiatry and/or further training in alternative communication. We also value previous experience working with this target group and a knowledge and understanding of clients' needs. A valid B driver's license is required, and you must communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is: • Clear and confident with a calm, low-affect approach • A social team player with the ability to build good relationships • Structured and motivated by development with clients as the focus • Solution-focused, independent, and able to take own initiative • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances • Confident working with implementation plans, action plans, and alternative communication.
