We are seeking one of two Physical Education and Health teachers at Skogsängsskolan. Skogsängsskolan is a newly built grades F-6 school with excellent facilities and a wonderful school grounds. We have grown in recent years and currently have approximately 460 students in a three-class-per-grade structure. We work together with a focus on collaborative learning. We work preventatively to create a safe environment and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We use differentiated and language-developing methods for higher goal achievement. The school has a comprehensive student health team including a school counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, special education teacher and special pedagogue, and a school psychologist and school doctor from central student health services. To create safety and an appropriate study environment, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activities. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will teach Physical Education and Health to students in grades 1-6. You will share teaching with an experienced colleague. Some classes you will teach together in a two-teacher model. You adapt instruction to students' age and skill level. You create a safe environment where all students feel included and have the opportunity to develop confidence in their own physical abilities. The school has its own gymnasium and excellent opportunities for outdoor instruction in nearby nature. Together with a colleague, you share mentorship responsibilities for a middle grades class. As a mentor, you follow students' academic and social development, maintain contact with guardians, and contribute to creating safety, well-being, and good conditions for learning. You contribute to the school's collaborative work on classroom leadership, study environment, and accessible learning spaces. QUALIFICATIONS We seek someone with a teaching degree and teaching license with authorization to teach Physical Education and Health. You may also be nearing the end of your education and graduating shortly. It is advantageous if you have experience teaching in schools and are familiar with working according to the current curriculum.
