The 19th Brigade Staff is a military unit within the 19th Mechanized Brigade (NmekB 19) and located at I 19 Norrbotten Regiment in Boden. The 19th Brigade Staff consists of continuously and part-time serving officers and soldiers. The Brigade Staff is in the basic organization primarily a part of the Norrbotten Brigade, which will operate under the Garrison Staff of I 19 Norrbotten Regiment. The Brigade Staff supports the Brigade Commander with capability development and capability utilization regarding leadership of maneuver battalions and functional units within the 19th Brigade. FLF FIN (Forward Land Forces Finland) From 2026, NmekB 19 will primarily be oriented to operate and serve with a force within the multinational force for FLF Finland. As an employee of NmekB 19 and Boden Garrison, you may be part of a historic mission for the Garrison, Norrbotten Brigade, the Swedish Armed Forces, and Sweden within the framework of NATO. Current planning indicates that the main part of the force contribution is stationed in Boden and conducts activities within NmekB 19 and FLF FIN in both Sweden and Finland. Activities will include exercises, training, education, and readiness in both Sweden and Finland. Primary Responsibilities Acts as the logistics function representative and leads the logistics function within the brigade Acts as the regiment's military unit representative for logistics units Responsible for the brigade staff's part-time serving personnel in the logistics function Responsible for the logistics function in developing the brigade's orders and governing documents Represents the brigade at logistics meetings/field exercises Supports the regiment's mobilization efforts regarding logistics Supports the regiment's unit exercise planning regarding logistics Supports the regiment's personnel supply planning regarding logistics competence The position involves periodic absence for exercises and official travel, both within Sweden and abroad within the framework of FLF Finland and NATO. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Officer's degree (OF3/OR8, or alternatively OF2 with potential for OF3) Class B driver's license Good computer skills and strong knowledge of the Office suite Good ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English Personal Qualities As a candidate for the logistics chief position, you have a talent for organizing and structuring work. You solve your tasks carefully and responsibly, and you also have the ability to complete your tasks under time pressure. The work requires that you have good ability to independently handle challenges, while at the same time being confident in formulating directives and providing guidance within the logistics function. The regiment's headquarters and leadership are located in Boden. The regiment's primary mission is to build military units, and over the coming years, I 19 will gradually develop the new Norrbotten Brigade. By 2028, the regiment must be able to train, provision, and mobilize the entire brigade including associated functional units; command, field operations, air defense, and logistics. The brigade must be able to conduct operations in all environments but be specialized for combat in the subarctic environment on the Northern Calotte. The regiment also hosts the Swedish Armed Forces' winter unit, which has the task of coordinating and supporting the development of the Swedish Armed Forces' winter capability. Conscript training is conducted at the Norrbotten Armored Battalion, which is responsible for training and maintaining units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The regiment otherwise consists of the regimental staff, Armed Forces Health, Garrison Support Unit, Logistics Unit, and Local Planning Unit.
