The Work and Integration Unit is part of Individual and Family Services, within the Care and Social Administration. The main mission of the operation is to move people furthest from the labor market into education, employment and appropriate public support with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency. The unit currently has four internal operations, including a first-step activity and a cafeteria, which enable work training and internships before the person is ready for placement at a regular workplace within the municipality. Within the unit work occupational therapists, employment advisors, employment coordinators, employment investigators, team leaders, coordinators, and administrators. We are now seeking development-oriented coordinators with the passion to motivate and support our participants toward self-sufficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES As a coordinator in our work and integration labor market programs, you provide tailored guidance, support and assistance to participants as they test their capabilities to move forward toward work or studies. Together with team leaders and other coordinators, you lead and support participants in daily practical work. You maintain contact with referring bodies such as the municipal employment office, authorities such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Public Employment Service or Region Östergötland. You participate in monitoring participants together with referring caseworkers. You assess how interventions work for participants and provide suggestions on how rehabilitation planning can proceed. As a coordinator you participate in planning and developing the operation. Some administrative work is also part of the role. The operation has close cooperation with businesses, civil society organizations and municipal departments and offers a variety of work tasks in reuse, kitchen, café, sewing, facility management, gardening, inventory and digitalization. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with post-secondary education with a focus on social work, treatment, rehabilitation or education. It is meritorious if you have experience from work in support and treatment or educational activities as well as with people who are far from the labor market due to physical and/or mental health issues. The work requires that you have a category B driving license, good computer skills and can communicate well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. You are pedagogical, clear and can instruct and guide and possess patience and endurance.
