About the Unit The Security and Preparedness Unit (ESB) is a central function led by the authority's security chief. The unit consists of 15 employees and functions as a steering and support function within security, information security, and preparedness. We have a clear focus on supporting management, supervisors, and employees in these areas. As a security handler, you will be part of the Security Team, which consists of several people responsible for areas such as operational security and physical security. In summary, the goal is that the Swedish Maritime Administration's assets receive the protection they need. To help you settle into the role and get to know the business, we take responsibility for an individual introduction and training program tailored to your specific background. Work Tasks You will work on maintaining and strengthening the authority's work within the security field. Based on your experience, competence, and development, responsibilities and tasks will expand. The role includes, among other things: Coordinate and provide support in work relating to physical security agreements. Coordinate and provide support in work relating to security vetting. Work with special security protection assessments. Develop guidelines, procedures, conduct training and provide consultation. Collaborate with the Swedish Maritime Administration's operations and other support functions that are central to building and maintaining effective support processes. Collaborate with other authorities and suppliers.
