Hundreds of cases and matters are resolved every day in Sweden's courts. At Halmstad District Court, we are approximately 40 employees with different expertise who together uphold legal security and high quality throughout all levels. We handle criminal cases, civil disputes, and matters, and are organized into four units: the judge unit, the preparation unit, the case unit, and the administrative unit. We are located in central Halmstad with a view over the Nissan River and offer stimulating and developmental work with opportunities for both internal and external training. 1 position(s). As a court administrator, you are offered varied and developmental tasks in an important operation. You will be responsible for handling the administrative preparation and processing of all types of cases and matters that the district court manages. Daily contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and the public occurs regularly. Your work tasks may include preparing and planning for hearings, managing written correspondence, monitoring deadlines, receiving and registering information in cases and matters, recording minutes at hearings, issuing judgments, and destroying documents. You will also, following a delegation decision, independently perform actions such as appointing a public defense counsel. A court administrator's assignment combines legal precision with professional and service-oriented conduct. A court administrator represents the court externally and must confidently be able to meet both the public and professional actors in a respectful and trustworthy manner. Personal qualities We are looking for you who are responsible, thorough, and with a pronounced service mindset. You are flexible, attentive, and unpretentious. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have an easy time creating good relationships. You have good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs. You need to be able to handle different tasks, people, and situations. Under high workload, you need to be able to prioritize and plan your work well. You have good judgment, are conscientious, and have the ability to work thoroughly and independently, but can also collaborate with others to achieve the operation's goals. You actively contribute to the workplace's collective work, operational development, and a good work environment. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. You must also have an inclusive perspective and stand up for democracy and the state values that govern the operation of Sweden's Courts. We also require that you comply with applicable laws. We are looking for you who have: · Completed and approved upper secondary education with final grades/diploma. · Good experience working with computers and digital work methods, as well as interest in IT and digitalization. · Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. · Very good administrative skills and experience working in a structured manner It is an advantage if you have experience working in administration/preparation, particularly valuable is if this experience is from work in a court or one of the authorities we are in daily contact with in our work. It may also be an advantage if you have post-secondary education in social sciences, law, or similar such as Paralegal. To be suitable for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. Prior to employment, background checks may be carried out.
