Description Pihlskolan gymnasium in Hällefors Municipality has students' futures at the center of focus. Pihlskolan has approximately 250 students distributed between the gymnasium and adult education programs. The school offers five national gymnasium programs: Natural Sciences Program, Social Sciences Program, Technology Program, Industrial Technology Program, Restaurant and Food Service Program, and an Introduction Program. The school also hosts a local sports education program in ice hockey (LIU). Pihlskolan also provides adult education (komvux) at basic and upper secondary levels, adapted adult education, vocational adult education (yrkesvux), Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), and Lärcentrum. We are now seeking someone to work as a substitute teacher with us during the fall term. With our engaged staff and family-friendly atmosphere, we can offer an environment where students have the best opportunities to succeed based on their abilities and ambitions. Pihlskolan places great emphasis on ensuring all students receive the support they need in their subjects, classes, and individually. The school also organizes study trips to various countries in Europe. Work Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction according to applicable curricula and course plans. Assess and document students' knowledge development. Grade students in accordance with applicable regulations. Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment. Adapt instruction based on students' individual needs and circumstances. Participate in team meetings, subject conferences, and the school's development initiatives. Cooperate with guardians, student services, and external partners as needed. Contribute to the school's values-based work and promote good study conditions. Qualifications Certified upper secondary teacher with authorization in Swedish, rhetoric, and communication. Strong pedagogical skills. Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Good digital competence and experience using digital learning tools. If qualified applicants are unavailable, the employer may consider hiring a non-certified teacher deemed suitable for the position on a temporary basis in accordance with school law. Meritorious Experience teaching at the upper secondary level. Terms The position is a substitute contract at 100% for the period August 11–December 18, 2026.
