At Vadsbo Gymnasium in Mariestad, we offer eleven national programs, both college-preparatory and vocational. The school also features sports specialization, youth entrepreneurship, and program certifications. We currently have over 700 students and approximately 75 teachers. Here we work together in program teams, in close collaboration with the principal and various student support professionals. Due to a leave of absence, we are now seeking a science teacher to start in August. This position is a temporary contract covering 80% for the academic year 26/27. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a science teacher at Vadsbo Gymnasium, you will teach students from both college-preparatory and study-preparatory programs. You will be part of the team in the Technology Program. Vadsbo Gymnasium is a school characterized by safety and academic focus where students and staff thrive and can concentrate on learning and education. The school has a low teacher turnover rate. QUALIFICATIONS To be a candidate for this position, you must be a certified high school teacher with qualifications in science. You are an engaged teacher who places the student's needs at the center. You have a genuine interest in your subjects as well as in pedagogy, and you understand that good relationships with students are an important foundation for student learning. It is important that you have the ability and desire to create motivation, enthusiasm, and energy in your students. As a person, you are confident and have the ability to work independently. You recognize the value of working together with your teaching colleagues and other professionals in the school to develop instruction and create favorable conditions for students to achieve their goals.
