What characterizes us: - One of Sweden's leading technical upper secondary schools - Strong connection to industry and real-world applications - An engaged team that works closely together with student development as the focus About the job As an automation teacher, you will teach students in both theory and practice within areas such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, and programming. You work closely with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and contribute to a safe and coaching environment. What you do: - Teach technology with a focus on automation - Guide students in practical elements and projects - Assess, follow up on, and grade student performance - Collaborate with colleagues in work teams and integrated subject arrangements - Actively contribute to the development of the school's educational environment Placement The position is located at Göranssonska Skolan in Sandviken, where work takes place on-site in the school's teaching and workshop environments. About you You have theoretical and practical expertise in automation, and preferably have teaching credentials or experience in teaching. A technical post-secondary education is a merit. You communicate fluently in Swedish and have good command of English. You have: - Good knowledge of automation, automation technology, operational reliability, robotics (Yaskawa, ABB) - Experience in programming, PLC (e.g., Siemens or Mitsubishi) - The ability to combine theory and practical elements in teaching - Confidence in assessing and following up on student development - Interest in collaborating on projects and cross-disciplinary teams You enjoy working with young people and build trust through a humble, clear, and supportive approach.
