We are seeking an engaged and knowledgeable high school teacher of Swedish as a second language. Are you our new colleague? About the Workplace Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern high school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as an Introduction Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work through the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Collaboration for the Best School." Our students feel safe and enjoy attending school, as demonstrated in our safety surveys, and we have a high proportion of qualified teachers. For us, it is important that both students and staff feel seen and that students receive the support they need. We actively work to create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop and reach their goals. Job Responsibilities As a teacher with us, you will teach Swedish as a second language in our national programs and individual program, as well as some Swedish instruction. This means you will teach at both the high school and middle school levels. Mentoring is also part of the position. You will become part of an engaged team and work closely with colleagues within your program and subject area. We Are Looking for You If You Have experience and can teach Swedish as a second language at the high school level. Have good collaborative skills with students, colleagues, and other staff. Have clear leadership and a strong belief in students' ability to achieve good academic results. Are flexible, creative, and use ICT in your teaching. Want to develop your teaching profession and contribute ideas for how teaching and the school can be improved. Qualifications Certification as a high school teacher of Swedish as a second language. Experience teaching at the high school level. Experience teaching students in individual programs based on the middle school curriculum in Swedish and Swedish as a second language is advantageous. Individual Salary Start date 260810 or by agreement A background check is required upon offer of employment. This is in accordance with the law on background checks in school, leisure and preschool activities.
