Your Tasks We are seeking a substitute teacher with subject competence in home and consumer studies. The position includes mentoring, and you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers. As a teacher at Klaraskolan, it is important that you are a secure and clear leader with strong pedagogical skills and the ability to adapt instruction to students' needs. In your teaching, you work from a relational perspective, use collaborative structures for student-centered learning, and take a formative approach. You have high expectations for students and can motivate them to learn and develop by clarifying goals and learning standards. In your pedagogical role, it is crucial that you meet all students with a positive attitude, promote student participation and influence, and have the ability to be flexible and creative. You also recognize the value of building relationships with students outside the classroom. You collaborate easily and see your teaching team as an asset. Together with the team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop instruction based on the school's governing documents and local development plan. Your role requires strong ability to analyze student needs and use methods well-suited to individual students and groups. You are comfortable documenting student learning progress and have good knowledge of our digital platforms (Unikum, Teams, etc.). You have a humble approach where you enjoy challenging others with curiosity and sharing your experiences. This is a fixed-term position for the school year 2026/27 with possible extension. Your Qualifications Licensed teacher with subject competence in home and consumer studies. Previous experience working in middle school is preferred.
