We build our teaching on a formative approach with clear objectives, feedback, and a commitment to giving each student the opportunity to progress as far as possible. Åvikenskolan is located in Gnosjö town center and has approximately 150 students in grades 1-6. We are around 25 educators working together to realize our vision: "We build foundations for life." The school is situated near nature, and we frequently use outdoor environments as part of teaching – in line with the curriculum's emphasis on utilizing students' immediate surroundings. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher in grades 1-6, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with current regulations. You are expected to base your work on the curriculum's objectives for each subject and adapt your teaching to meet both the group's and individuals' needs. Your work includes mentorship, documentation, assessment, and collaboration with guardians and student support services. We work cross-disciplinarily where possible, with a focus on developing students' language skills, digital competence, and collaboration abilities in line with the curriculum's overall goals of strengthening students' ability to take responsibility for their learning and act in a democratic society. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Are trained and certified teacher with authorization to teach grades 1-6. • Have the ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment based on clear leadership and good relationships. • Are well-versed in Lgr22 and have a clear didactic foundation to stand on. • Actively contribute to collegial learning and are open to trying new approaches. • Are confident in your professional role and open to collaboration. • Have good communication skills with colleagues, students, and guardians. • Are engaged, responsible, and open to different perspectives and want to create solutions.
