About the workplace The Public Environment Unit is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Håbo Municipality's streets, roads, squares, parks, forests, natural areas, street lighting, and schoolyards. The unit also initiates and implements various investment projects within its area of responsibility. As a Street Inspector, you will be part of a work team of approximately 14 employees, where we work together to create a public environment that is sustainable for living, working, and visiting. We offer a stimulating assignment where you, in close collaboration with others, will have an important role in community development in Håbo Municipality. Your responsibilities The role of Street Inspector is important in the unit's daily operations. Your main areas of responsibility are to handle, inspect, control, and inspect excavation permits and traffic arrangement plans (TA-plans). Your main duties include: Handling, control, and inspection of excavation permit and TA-plan matters Information/communication within the work area, such as website, emergency alerts, and public Communication regarding written correspondence and responsibility for official authority within your area of responsibility Control of contractors/construction workers performing work for Håbo Municipality Respond to inquiries within the work area Your area of responsibility may also include: Responsibility for maintenance of road markings Handling/control of land leases Responding to and processing exemptions for transport permits Bridge structures with supervision and planning of maintenance plans Opportunity to manage smaller investment projects within the public environment Handle public feedback You will have the opportunity to contribute to developing the unit. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: Experience and/or education in land and construction. Class B driver's license Meritorious qualifications: Experience/education working with excavation permits and/or TA-plans Experience/education in asphalt Experience/education in traffic (local traffic regulations) Experience/education in inspection of land and construction Experience with projects in streets, parks, or traffic Experience working in municipal services Other experience or education relevant to the responsibilities described above.
