We are now seeking a recreational pedagogue/general education teacher for an aftercare program, preschool teacher for a parental leave substitute position from August 3, 2026 to January 8, 2027. This position is a parental leave substitute at our adapted primary school and aftercare program. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work in an operation where student development, participation, and well-being are at the center. We're looking for someone who, with your professional expertise, commitment, and professional approach, wants to help create a safe, developmental, and accessible learning environment for our students. Duties In your role as a recreational pedagogue and general education teacher in the aftercare program, you will, together with colleagues, create a stimulating, safe, and positive learning environment where student knowledge development, social interaction, and personal growth are at the center. The assignment combines work in the aftercare program with classroom work, where you collaborate closely with special education teachers, student assistants, and other professionals. You contribute to the quality and development work of the operation and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the aftercare program's activities based on the curriculum and governing documents. In your assignment: • you participate in shaping the pedagogical activities • you actively contribute to cooperation with students, guardians, and colleagues • you work to create a safe, accessible, and developmental learning environment • you support students' development, independence, and participation You view the pedagogical environment as changeable and use it to support students' creativity, play, and learning. You are solution-focused, take responsibility, and want to work with us to contribute to student development and goal achievement. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is a trained general education teacher with a focus on aftercare programs, a preschool teacher, or has other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations. You also have good organizational skills and work in a structured manner for high quality in the operation. Furthermore, we want you to: • be confident in your professional role and well-familiar with the aftercare program's governing documents • have good communication skills and create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues You have a professional manner and the ability to meet students with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations, as well as their guardians, in a respectful and safe way. It is advantageous if you have experience working with visual supports and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and possess a driver's license. Personal Qualities We're looking for someone who is engaged, responsible, and sees possibilities. You dare to contribute ideas, take initiative, and enjoy working in close collaboration with others. You have a positive attitude and a good ability to adapt your work based on students' different needs. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
