Valora Bemanning is now seeking an experienced administrative economist for an exciting consulting assignment within municipal operations in Skåne. Are you an analytical and operationally-focused economist who is comfortable with both strategic and operational financial matters? Then this could be the right assignment for you. About the Assignment You will be part of a central staff function, working closely with managers, leadership, and operations on financial management, planning, and follow-up. The role carries significant responsibility for ensuring sound financial management and providing qualified support on financial matters. Key Responsibilities Long-term financial planning of operating and investment budgets Budget work, forecasts, and financial analyses Preparation of materials for annual reports, quarterly reports, and committee plans Follow-up and internal controls Financial support and advisory services to managers and departments Preparation and presentation of reports to management groups and committees Collaboration with economists within the organization Qualifications Requirements At least 3 years of professional experience as an economist Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Meritorious Academic degree in economics Experience with similar tasks in the public sector or municipal operations Experience with budget, forecast, and follow-up work Experience working closely with managers and management teams Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is: Analytical and organized Solution-oriented and self-directed Service-minded with good collaboration skills Comfortable presenting financial information in a clear and pedagogical manner Able to shift between strategic and operational tasks Scope Full-time Consulting assignment Location: Skåne Possibility of some remote work Assignment start: No later than 2026-07-13 for one year Application Selection is ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
